When we fall in love with someone, we don't think that we could ever possibly fall out of love with them. We don't think we can be happy again, and when they are no longer with us-- we feel like our world is crumbling to pieces. The truth about human emotion is; it adapts to what it's presented to. It learns to be hurt, the wounds begin healing, and eventually the scars fade.. And one day you fall in love, all over again.
But then again, how can you be sure it was love to begin with? What if you have never had your heartbroken? Does hurt constitute the intensity of emotions we feel towards another individual? Do we have to feel pain to be happy? Are our relationships and emotions measured by the moments spent together, growth, and attachment?
I used to ask myself.
Now I know that LOVE is not measured. By anything. It shouldn't be. There will never be a moment you have to question the way you feel. You'll know, and nothing will be able to stop you. You won't have to withhold the smallest bit of anything.
If the world stops when you're together, let it.
If it feels right, it probably is.
Why fight something that feels so perfect?
I'm not going to.
